Trusting ...

Wow, words cannot express how I feel from day to day.

We have been so blessed to have my parents open up their home to us while Nathan is studying for the bar. The support and friendship from my parents has meant so much while Nathan has been gone. The kids LOVE Gampa and Gamma's house and the big backyard with lots of fun "kid stuff". My Mom has been such a great example to me in getting things done. There is not another place in the world I would rather be right now ... And then the baby kicks. The anxiety tries to move in. The fear of not knowing ...

Trust. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Everyday I'm looking for jobs for Nathan and I know that God has the perfect job for us. However, I do still lean on my own understanding and it fails me every time. Our baby boy is due in October and Nathan gets bar results back in October and so far there is no job on the table.

We have most of our stuff in boxes, and have settled in our temporary home and God has provided our every need! Still, I am reminding myself daily to trust Him.

I have seen his faithfulness time, and time again in our lives and I'm excited to see what doors he opens up. However, I am still human and I still deal with anxiety, fear and trust.

I'm sure this is common for a lot of us wives of law students. For those who have either gone through this already (and seen God's plan) and those of you about to go through it in the next couple years, and those of us going through it now.

GOD REMAINS FAITHFUL all the time!! Besides, it's only money, right??? ;)

At the end of the day, I see the joy in my kids eyes and I realize that I want the very best for them. And this is how the Lord feels about us as well :)

Easter Fun!

We had such a fun Easter weekend!

On Saturday we went to the Law Wives Easter Celebration and had some fun eating food and letting the kids hunt for Easter eggs. This was the first year that Judah really got into it (maybe he did last year, but I didn't get to see!) so it was fun seeing his excitement. I had bought a few outfits for Lili in hopes that she would be walking by this time! Sad to say, she had to be carried cause I didn't want those white pants to get ruined! Lol :)

After eating, we let the boys go out and have a leaf fight. Judah is going to miss Caleb and Little Judah so much! Also, going to miss Mrs. Garner A LOT!!!

On Sunday we went to the Paulser's for an Easter brunch. It was so much fun catching up with them and they super spoiled us! Judah and Lili went on a boat ride with Daddy and Jordan. The kids got an Easter basket from the Paulers that they were VERY excited about :) They love their Uncle Joel and Aunt Rhonda!

When putting Judah to bed, this was his prayer, "Jesus, thank you for my candy and toys. Thank you for Jordan and the boat. Thank you for eggs. Thank you for Daddy, Mommy, Lili and Judah. Amen." It was pretty cute :)

BALL!!

At the beginning of the year the six of us met on the boardwalk. We were reunited in dress attire on this night :)
Jen modeling all the amazing stuff in the bathroom!!
The 3L guys :)
Hope, Liz and Jamie
3L girls. Lynette, I'm not going to say it!!!! (yet)
Yes, I am very serious about my chocolate :)
My sweet and faithful friend, Emily. Going to miss her!!
My HOT husband :) Oh, and my yummy coffee :)
J amie, Tessa, Hope and me! Love these ladies!

Every girl needs to go to a Ball! We went to the Barristers Ball our 1L year and had a blast :) I told Nathan that he had to take me again our 3L year since it would be our last one ...

My #1 love language is food. I love going to new restaurants and trying good food. My dream restaurant is Catch 31 which is located in the Hilton on the beach. Even though the ball was upstairs in the Hilton, we still got to go check out Catch 31 beforehand ... didn't get food, but had LOTS of good food at the Ball!

It was such a fun night of catching up with lots of good friends, dancing (although I didn't do as much of this as I did our 1L year) yummy food and a very handsome date :) It's starting to set in that this is our last couple weeks here in Virginia Beach. It does not really seem real yet, but it's getting there. I'm so thankful that my husband let us get dressed up for a fun night out on the town. We even made it home by midnight :)

BTW- This post is in honor of Natalie. Had to break my "post a new update every 3 month thing" :)

OH YEAH!!!

I cannot believe I forgot to add this! Well, actually I can. I forget that we're expecting baby #3 almost every other day. I guess that's what happens when you have two little ones at home keeping you busy :)

Baby #3 will be with us in the middle of October! We are so excited for another blessing from the Lord. I've been feeling great (I think it's going to be a boy) and feel so blessed for such a smooth pregnancy.

Judah is in denial and Lili loves babies, so hoping they both love babies come October :) This was the ultrasound picture we got at 8 weeks. Looks like a big blur, but there is a baby in my tummy!

We were at Old Navy shopping for sandals for Judah. There was an Old Navy worker on the floor stocking items and Judah walked up to her, patter her stomach and asked her if she had a baby in her tummy! Needless to say, he kept patting her on her upper body asking if she had a baby in different locations!!! I was a little red ...
He pretty much asks everyone if they have a baby in their tummy, including his Daddy :)

Judah and Liliana are growing so fast! I look back on 2 week old pictures and cannot believe the changes ... Trying to soak up every moment with them and make it as sweet as we can.

Nathan has FIVE days of law school left!! Wow ... I just can't believe our time has come to an end. What a sweet 3 years it has been :) That being said, we are so excited for the next season the Lord has for us!

So, there really is a lot to catch up on ... so, I'll just add some pictures :)

SNOW!!!

We have lived in Virginia Beach for 2 1/2 years now and the weather guys have predicted snow maybe 5 times and only 1 of those 5 times did we EVER get a flake or 2. They've been saying we were going to get a huge storm. Well, I woke up this morning expecting for there to yet again be NO SNOW ... Well, I am wrong!

During Christmas we bought Judah a snow bib and snow boots and he never even went outside cause we were so busy! I almost left them in Colorado (with all of our winter stuff) but I brought it back with us. He put them to good use today! We got maybe about 6 inches of snow and Judah and Nathan played outside for over 2 hours. Judah LOVED it and didn't want to come in even though his fingers were frozen and his little cheeks were cherry red. Sledding was on the agenda today and tomorrow is a snow fort!

Judah is very passionate about life. He loves being outside and it seems that everyday we can see more and more of his personality coming out. We love it :)

Thank you Global Warming for sending snow to Virginia Beach!!!!

4th of the July was not the same without Nathan, but we had a good time with family :)

Well, it has been a LONG time since I have updated our blog ... my bad! I don't even really know if I can remember everything since last time I blogged...

This last summer Nathan interned at the State Depart in D.C. He was gone for 9 weeks and we got to see him a total of 21 days during that time! God remained faithful in giving us grace and we all had an incredible summer! I took the kids to Colorado for 4 weeks and we had a wonderful visit with friends and family :)

Nathan started his final year of law school in August! I had friends our first year telling us that our time here at Regent would FLY by. I didn't believe them at the time, but looking back it has gone by fast ... too fast :) We have made some incredible friends many of which will be lifelong friends. We turned in our vacate notice yesterday which made the realization that we will be leaving our life here in Virginia a little more real. 4 more months and then we are off! I'm going to cry for sure, but I'm also really excited for what God has in store after law school. It's so exciting to be following His will and have peace that He will put us where He wants us.

Our time here has been so fruitful and our marriage has grown leaps and bounds! I can honestly say that law school helped our marriage! Haha :)

I don't have much time to catch up, but I am going to try to keep up with blogging! I know what a certain friend will say ... "I've heard that before!!" Really though ... I'm going to try ;)

Here's a few pictures from some good times from last summer ... will catch up more later, promise!
